Why say “Die Cis Scum”
When you could be wishing death on people for something important? Like bad taste in music or movies.

me: the trans men are men and the trans women are women, it’s pretty simple
person: oh so wait which ones used to be-

Okay, I understand it is not the job of trans* people to educate cis people on everything
But really if we keep denying them this information, or telling not them what is problematic
They are going to continue to be uninformed and say problematic things
Shocking I know
If a cis person asks for clarification on terminology, even if they phrase the question in a problematic way, don’t freak out on them.
Keep in mind that this person was raised in a cissexist society. They probably have some not-quite-right ideas of gender, that they were taught from a young age. Uninformed cis people often think that sex determines gender. Ergo, in their minds, MAAB people = men and FAAB people = women.
Just telling them “THEY’RE MEN!” or “THEY’RE WOMEN” isn’t going to help. Explain that trans men are FAAB men who transition(ed) to match their male identity, and trans women are MAAB women who transition(ed) to match their female identity.
BOOM! One less cis person with misinformation in their mind! Holy heck!
And, if you’re feeling up to it, you can explain why the phrasing “guys becoming girls” or “girls becoming guys” is problematic.
Just shouting at cis people to “EDUCATE YOURSELF” doesn’t help. Information about trans people isn’t readily available. We have to stop withholding it from misinformed cis people, just because their questions are ill-phrased.
